Walter Tavares received the award for Best Defender in the 2025/26 League. Before the start of the third quarterfinal game against La Laguna Tenerife, the Cape Verdean center collected the trophy from madridista legend Felipe Reyes and was applauded by the Movistar Arena crowd.
Tavares has claimed this award for the sixth consecutive year and remains the only player to win the trophy since its inception. The Real Madrid player beat out Sant-Roos and Taylor in a vote conducted by the Liga Endesa coaches and a panel of experts.
