David Alaba was interviewed by Real Madrid TV after playing his last match wearing the Real Madrid jersey. The defender expressed his emotions following the heartfelt tribute he received at the Bernabeu: “I speak in English to express what I truly feel. I feel very grateful. I am very thankful, not only for this moment but for the last five years. I grew as a person, as a player. Of course, I had many successful moments. I also suffered a major injury to my foot. But this club and the fans always supported me. I really felt it in my heart, and for that, I am very thankful.”
“I just want to thank everyone: the team, the staff, the coaches, the president, and the fans. And, of course, my family. These have been five very special years. It’s not easy to describe my feelings right now because I am so grateful.”
